From studies to JD Edwards
Gina Gerges (24) has a background in Business IT and Management (BIM) and recently graduated from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Her interest in IT started at a young age: “I was always fascinated by new releases and technological innovations. IT intrigued me, and for years, I was basically the go-to tech support for family and friends.”
Through LinkedIn, Gina came across Forza IT Group and quickly learned more about Oracle JD Edwards. “I saw a job opening for a consultancy role at Forza IT Group and was immediately interested. After completing a one-month bootcamp on JD Edwards, I knew for sure that this was the field I wanted to grow in.”
The first step: the IT traineeship
The first part of her IT traineeship was all about getting to know JD Edwards, with a focus on the Manufacturing and Distribution modules. Gina also worked with the Orchestrator, a powerful tool within JD Edwards that enables process automation.
“The biggest challenge was stepping into the world of JD Edwards. I had never worked with an ERP system before, so it was a completely new experience for me. But I quickly noticed my progress and how I was finding my way around the system more and more.”
Building a future at Forza Consulting
After completing the first part of her IT traineeship, Gina is continuing her development at Forza Consulting as a junior consultant. “What excites me about Forza is the incredible variety of projects and the growth opportunities. No two days are the same.”
Her focus is on deepening her knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and the Orchestrator. “I really want to become an expert in this field so I can provide clients with the best possible support and advice.”
Ambitions and future plans
Gina looks forward to working with client relationships and further developing her knowledge of JD Edwards. “My ambition is to specialize in JD Edwards and grow within Forza Consulting. I’m excited to help organizations optimize their processes within JD Edwards.”
We warmly welcome Gina to Forza Consulting!
